Birmingham City Mascot Winner

Thursday, May 10th, 2018

Linda nominated her Grandson Jack to be the Mascot for the final game of the season. Jack has had a tough start in life and has lived with his Nan Linda since he was 6 months old. He is now 7 and does not have much contact with his parents. Jack was invited to the Blues v Fulham game on Sunday 6th May. Jack enjoyed his tour of the ground where he got to meet several of the players including  Beryly Lubala, Paul Robinson, David Stockdale, Harlee Dean, Sam Gallagher, Jason Lowe and David Davis. Jack also got to meet the mascots Beau and Belle and made friends with Kian who was also invited back for the last game so that everyone could see how much progress he has made since the fundraiser on Boxing Day at the Blues to help pay towards his stem cell treatment in America. The match was a very important one, we had to try and beat an in-form Fulham (who had not lost for 23 games) and were near the automatic spot for promotion. But goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz, Harlee Dean and Che Adams ensured that the Blues beat relegation on the final day and denied Fulham second place. The final score was 3-1 and everyone was happy that we had survived for another season in the Championship!
