  1. Check out the community calendar ? look at the towns events, many of which are free
  2. Visit your community library
  3. Get involved in community sports
  4. Get your financial papers in order
  5. Check out podcasts


  1. Play board games
  2. Bake a loaf of homemade bread
  3. Learn how to juggle
  4. Teach yourself how to chance the oil in your car
  5. Meet your neighbours









  1. Have a cupboard potlock ? go through your cupboards and find any items that have slipped to the back, get some friends over and make a potluck dinner prepared from the ingredients you have found.
  2. Clear out your media collections, books, DVD?s CD?s etc.
  3. Make a 101 Goals in 1001 Days list ? then start on some of them
  4. Make decisions about and write out your will
  5. Do a household maintenance walkthrough ? look for any maintenance tasks that need to be done
