Kids Need Both Parents held a Family Fun Day to raise funds for life saving treatment for Kian. We raised an amazing £500. Thank you to everyone who contributed and to all of the staff, coaches and volunteers that made this possible.
On a very cold morning in December, 6 teams turned up for the Family Fun Day. They were the Jaguars, Lions, Leopards, Cougars, Lions and Leopards. It was a knock-out tournament with the Cougars winning!
The adults charity match kicked off at 2:00pm. Kids Need Both Parents played Whychall Wanderers whose manager is John Busst. Whychall had a couple of ex-professionals playing for them including Maik Taylor (former Blues goalkeeper) and Stiliyan (Stan) Petrov (former Villa midfielder). Craig Coates was the manager of ‘Kids Need Both Parents’ and he spent most of the afternoon running after Stan! The game was close, finishing 6-4 to Whychall Wanderers. There were some cracking goals scored by both teams. I would like to thank John Busst for bringing his team along to this fundraising event and I would also like to thank Maik Taylor and Stan Petrov who wasn’t playing initially, as he was going away, but couldn’t due to the bad weather, so turned up for the match!
